Strategy Staffing is searching for candidates for our client located in Amsterdam, Ohio - Interstate Waste Services (Apex Landfill) for a temp to hire position as a general laborer. Positions are needed immediately for general laborers specifically to walk slopes of the landfill site and pick up debris / trash outside of the landfill containment area (abandonment).

Successful candidates for this immediate role require the ability to:

• walk all day on sloped hillsides / bending and picking up debris
• handle the elements of being outside daily, being exposed to the weather conditions, temperatures, chemicals, dust, fumes, smells, and loud noises
• must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States
• previous labor experience a PLUS

This is a temp to hire position and the placed candidate will be with Strategy Staffing for approximately 30-60 days before being eligible to be hired on permanently.

The position pays $15 per hour, (plus state required OT for hours of 40 in one week), Mon thru Fri from 7am to 3:30pm (1/2 hour unpaid lunch on site)

The client is a second chance employer. Drug screen required prior to starting. Steel toed boots (6inch or higher) required. Safety gear (hat, eyewear, and vest) provided.
