Job description
General Requirements
Under general supervision, is responsible for management, direction and activities of the daily landfill operations. Supervises subordinate staff related landfill activities and other projects as required. Performs related construction activities. Reports to the Landfill Manager. This position is a working Supervisor/Lead Operator position with Saturday work required.
Minimum Educational Requirements
· Degree in civil engineering preferred with three to five years’ experience in landfill operations, heavy equipment operation, and/or job layout; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
· Valid South Carolina Driver’s License.
· Must have or attain S.C. Landfill Manager Certification within twelve months of employment.
