Attorney - Part Time
We are a small, well known boutique law firm, specializing in all domestic relations cases, including divorce and all family court matters and criminal defense, largely in NYC and Long Island.
This position will be based in our Mineola, Long Island office, although some the work can be done remotely with flexible hours. We envision this new team member handling three mornings per week for in person court appearances, with the rest of the hours conducting out of court work on a somewhat adjustable basis. The anticipated weekly commitment will be approximately 25 hours per.
Throughout our three decades of practice, we have encountered many unique cases, several of which have received vast media attention locally, nationally and even internationally. We are very well known within our field and are often called upon by other lawyers for advice and assistance. Our philosophy is compassion for the client with aggressive advocacy against the adversary.
Tasks will include drafting all case documents and motions, handling discovery and court conferences, motions, hearings and full trials.
Candidates must be admitted to practice now in New York and three plus years of experience in our field of practice is greatly preferred.
Salary $55,000 - $65,000 with very generous incentives for business development.
