ARTS Rx is a group behavioral health practice with a demonstrated record of facilitating effective and quality oriented creative arts therapy services for the last 12 years since our inception in 2011. Our office is located in Midtown Manhattan and we partner with various nonprofit agencies such as shelters, suicide prevention programs, domestic violence centers and foster care agencies throughout the 5 boroughs of NYC. Upon our continued expansion, we have an opening for a FT LCAT Supervisor position available.

What Makes Us Different From Any Other Private Practice?

ARTS Rx is the only NY LCAT Group Private Practice in Manhattan that is an in network provider with a number of managed healthcare organizations for more than 80% of the population we serve. We service a total of 200 clients each week through our individual and group programming which means we provide a total of 7,680 behavioral health sessions each year.

SETTING:

Populations we serve include adolescents challenged with depression and suicidal ideation (ages 12-17) in an afterschool setting in Brooklyn, families in a domestic violence shelter in Harlem, as well as children, adolescents, and adults (20’s-30’s) challenged with general anxiety/depression/trauma in our midtown Manhattan office.

Treatment Focus

• Art Therapy
• Drama Therapy
• Distress Tolerance Skills
• Coping Skills

Expected documentation

• Weekly attendance and progress notes
• Treatment Plans (first 30 days)
• Psychosocial Assessments (within 1st intake session)

QUALIFICATIONS:

* LCAT required, no limited permits

* Strong clinical documentation required

* Prior experience effectively collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team

* Excellent written and oral communication skills

* Strong interest in incorporating evidence based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, TF-CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness into creative arts therapy practice

* At least 5 years post-grad experience required, preferably in an outpatient mental health clinic or group private practice setting.

* At least 2 years clinical supervisory experience, and previous involvement in program management/coordination preferred.
