Required Qualifications
Completion of high school or the equivalent with four years progressively responsible experience. May require a typing proficiency of 60 words per minute. Additional education may substitute for required experience on a year for year basis.

Major/Essential Functions
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Texas Tech University is looking for a full-time person for our Business Office (125).
The Lead Account Processor's job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Enter TechBuy Requisitions for the department (including budget revisions, accurate coding, balance checking, FOP requests, exception forms, international purchasing request, verification of pricing, tariff codes for foreign shipments, etc.) daily.
- Enter and reconcile all receiving for the department. Ensure shipments are accurate and the invoiced price is correct. Also handles Return Merchandise Authorizations for the department and verifies exchanges and credits take place. Maintain current open items listing, investigating those that are greater than 60 days.
- Purchasing Card Reconciler for the department, including enforcement of all P-Card policies and submission of documents within the deadline. Request payment when needed.
- Enter yearly standing orders, blanket orders, and yearly maintenance agreements.
- Processing Travel applications and vouchers, including verification for grad school travel funding.
- Advise Faculty, Staff and Students on proper procurement operating policies.
- Maintain audit-able filing system for all financial purchasing transactions to ensure accuracy and transparency, if requested.
- New vendor set-up.
- Process Reimbursements
- Answer phone, filing, copying, other various clerical duties.
- Supports the department objective by performing other duties as assigned by the Department Chair and/or Unit Manager.

- Clerical knowledge, Critical Thinking, Monitoring, Time Management, Information Ordering, Written Expression, Active Listening.
- Experience with Microsoft Office. Prior experience with TTU software, BANNER, Fund Accounting, COGNOS, SciQuest, reconciliation, processes and procedures a plus.
- Social Perceptiveness.
