Johnny Coffee in Silverdale, WA is looking for an ethusiastic lead barista to join our team. We are located in The Trails at Silverdale. Our ideal candidate is passionate about the craft of coffee; detail-oriented; and excited about creating a warm & welcoming atmosphere.
The Lead Barista will manage the cafe in accordance with our companies values and mission and report to the General Manager.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming guests into our cafe and providing a hospitable environment through the service of food and beverages
- Educating guests and training team members about our coffee and products.
- Prepares and sells coffee/tea drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as espresso, latte, and cappuccino, matcha, etc.
- Managing inventory of food, beverage, and merchandise products on a weekly basis.
- Leading the team of baristas via various duties, such as hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
Qualifications
- Great communication and teambuilding skills
- Passion for craft coffee and educating others about the process of sourcing, roasting, and serving great coffee.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- 2+ years in a specialty coffee establishment
- Basic POS knowledge a plus
- Prior management experience a plus
