The Brews Hall, located steps from the beach on the Hermosa pier, is hiring a Lead Cook, with the opportunity to grow into a Sous Chef within 6 months!

What is The Brews Hall?
The Brews Hall Hermosa Beach is home to BUZZROCK Brewing Company, George Lopez Brewing Company, and a one-of-a-kind lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch menu featuring four different food concepts: George Lopez’s Chingon Kitchen (Mexican), Colin Cowherd’s Herd Burger, Chicken TWILI (The Way I like it) and Rock’N Fish Grill, a Manhattan Beach steak and fish house favorite. The Brews Hall also features a full bar, a simple but excellent wine list, and 16 Buzzrock/George Lopez beers on draft. We are known for our genuine hospitality, and have proudly earned a 4.5 star rating on Yelp since our opening in May of 2021.
Located on the Hermosa Beach pier, The Brews Hall’s extensive outdoor patio and cozy fire-pit seating make it an excellent place to enjoy delicious food, sip a cold beer, and watch the world go by. Weekly events such as Taco Tuesdays, live music Fridays and Saturdays, and comedy performances on Wednesdays, keep the guest experience fresh and exciting.
What you will do…
As a Lead Cook, you will be responsible for leading shifts, performing opening and closing duties, keeping the line set up and ready for success, making sure the kitchen team has the tools they need, and filling in any gaps necessary (line cooking, expo, etc). In addition, you will participate in the creative process and help continue to evolve the menu. Finally, and most importantly, you will work in conjunction with the Front of House to craft the perfect experience for our guests.
This Position is for you if you have...
- Minimum 5-7 years as a cook at a full-service restaurant
- Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred but not required for the right candidate
- Long tenure with previous employers (minimum 2 years at each job)
- Excellent communication and organization skills (bilingual preferred)
- A positive leadership style that promotes trust and teamwork
- Open availability
- The ability to perform under pressure
