The Opportunity:

Your role at Sephora:

As a Lead Engineer, Integrations at Sephora, you will: work with the business and product teams to identify business requirements, design, and development using Azure services including Kafka, Azure Integration service and Web Methods. Analyze the business requirements and translate them into viable technical solutions. Assist Engineering Managers and Technology Architects in the preparation of high-level design and implementation plans for the proposed solutions. Prepare and present solution recommendations for the system engineering and architecture including workarounds for code optimization which comply with the organization and architectural standards. Research and prepare feasibility studies for new system integrations to the existing Sephora computer architecture and engineering ecosystem. Analyze and determine the impact, performance, and security of each solution and report on the same. Identify the impacted teams and scope of the engineering deliverable. Prepare cost and effort estimations for any new computer engineering and architectural enhancement and development work related to Kafka, Azure Integration services and Web Method. Create original low-level technical engineering designs which will make the business group’s new operational ideas a reality. Design original computer engineering systems which meet the functional and non- functional business requirements. Write original and maintainable systems engineering code with extensive test coverage, working in a professional engineering environment. Work collaboratively with developers, analysts, and architects in a fast paced and outcome-oriented environment. (Position allows some work-from- home flexibility, with schedule to be approved by manager. Must be able to work on site as required.)


We are excited about you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology.
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in software development and deployment.


Experience must include:

  • Apache Kafka;
  • Azure Integration Services;
  • Azure Logic Apps;
  • Azure Functions;
  • Azure Service Bus;
  • Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS);
  • Cosmos DB;
  • Oracle;
  • MySQL;
  • Microsoft SQL Server;
  • Java/J2EE; and
  • JavaScript.


Salary: $183,310 to $201,000 per year depending on experience
