West Town Daycare is hiring a Preschool Teacher!

We are looking for the right candidate to join our team of passionate early educators! West Town Daycare is a play-based childcare center located in Humboldt Park/West Town neighborhood. Our biggest goal is to provide children endless opportunities to play, learn and develop healthy social and emotional skills. The right canidate will be passionte about play-based learning, kind, and ENERGETIC!

Some responsibilities include but not limited to are:

• Observe and document children's learning through TSG.
• Lesson Plan
• Communicate with parents via Brightwheel
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy classroom environment.
• Meet the individual needs of the children within your classroom.
• Create and maintain a positive learning environment.

Requirements for a Lead Teacher:

• Assosciates degree with 6 semester hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development, from birth to age six or a current CDA.
• Be able to work closely with other team members and communicate in a kind and professional manner.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification within 60 days.

You must be a qualified Lead Teacher and have 1 year of direct classroom experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
