Job Summary:*
Responsible for all areas of accounts payable and payroll from purchase order, and non-purchase order items, including receiving and matching invoices, documentation of all payments, account coding, preparation of disbursements and accounts payable record keeping. Also, a range of duties that include processing bi-weekly payroll, preparing weekly certified payroll.

Responsibilities*:`
Receives invoices and processes recurring disbursements without invoices, assigns appropriate account codes, matches purchase order or appropriate supporting documentation to invoice or billing.

Enters accounts payable data into computer for non-purchase order items, proofs and verifies data.

Compiles data and generates various monthly reports for other departments, including fleet fuel report, vehicle report, aging report.

Maintains all vehicle records, including Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) reports, amortization schedules, reconciles gas credit card reports.

Maintains all accounts payable records, such as vendor and payment files, vehicle files, licensing and permit files.

Processing bi-weekly payroll, preparing weekly certified payroll.
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned including assisting the accounting department in daily, monthly, and annual reconciliations, audits, vendor support, etc.
RELATIONSHIPS/CONTACTS:
Frequent daily internal contact with other employees, field supervisors and management. Daily external contact with clients.
Requirements:Education:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred. Additional training in accounts receivable or accounting principles desirable.
Experience:
Three or more years of accounting, accounts payroll, or other related experience / similar role, using automated accounting systems.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent oral and written communication skills, customer service focus, problem solving and time management skills
Strong computer skills
Attention to detail orientation.
Ability to operate 10-key by touch.
High level of accuracy, efficiency and accountability.
Knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with employees and management in a team environment.
Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
Ability to organize, prioritize and allocate workload for optimum efficiency.
Ability to resolve conflict appropriately and effectively resolve problems.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion.
Requires minimal supervisory skills and ability to self-teach, self-starter and set up processes.
Physical Effort:
Work is performed in a normal office environment.
Requires sitting for long periods of time, some standing and walking, keyboarding on the computer, reading from computer screens and hard copy.
Writing, speaking and listening to other people.
Occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
Operating a variety of office equipment such as telephones, copiers, fax machines, printers, and desk or file cabinet drawers
