To (re)invent how companies will compete and thrive in this new world and to educate the next generation of business leaders, Harvard Business School (HBS) has launched the D3 Institute: the Digital, Data, and Design Institute.
The Institute will enable companies to be more competitive in the age of AI and spur the formation of new organizations; it will position HBS and Harvard as a global leader in digital, innovation, and business. The Learning Network branch of D3 will develop and deliver programming that amplifies work produced in the institute’s areas of focus and forges connections between faculty, lifelong learners, current students, alumni, and industry leaders.
The Learning Network Manager for D3 will provide primary development and delivery support across a portfolio of educational content and programming (informational videos, webinars, short virtual courses, blog posts, etc.)
Position Description
- Manage development and production of learning content and programs that amplifies the work of D3:
- Work closely with institute faculty and industry experts to develop learning content, including interviews, webinars, blog posts, and short videos.
- Liaise with lab support staff (post-docs, lab managers, research associates) to ensure development of a suite of learning network offerings for each lab with appropriate levels of audience engagement. Identify issues and new opportunities for creating compelling content; liaise with vendors to assist in the design and delivery of solutions.
- In partnership with the D^3 Communications team, develop and facilitate collection of metrics related to learning network performance and audience engagement.
- Liaise with other departments at D^3 to maintain CRM information regarding audience, industry partners, and guest speakers.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for program delivery and recommend improvements as opportunities arise.
- Manage large and complex virtual programming (via Zoom and similar tools).
- Maintain a flexed schedule in order to support possible evening program delivery and occasional evening/weekend programming.
- Work on special projects associated with the scaling and growth of this new institute.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5+ years of related experience required

- Demonstrated ability to organize and communicate important and complex information clearly to different audiences.
- Proven ability to independently manage and prioritize work without direct oversight.
- Ability to build and implement a project plan - assess a problem, generate ideas, gather and interpret information, make recommendations for action.
- Ability to manage challenging interactions with a faculty member, student, or partner by addressing concerns, resolving problems, providing solutions, and maintaining productive and positive relationships.
- Ability to work consistently and constructively in a fast-paced, complex environment while fostering positive relationships with internal and external partners.
- Proactively identifies and suggests creative ways to solve problems, improve workflow, or help colleagues.
- Blended, online, and/ or massive open online course (MOOC) learning experience preferred.
- Some experience with video production or editing preferred.
- Online or in-person event coordination experience desired.
