About the Department of Management
The Department of Management is the most diverse unit within the Miami Herbert Business School and spans several disciplinary areas including entrepreneurship, human resource management, international business, organizational behavior, strategic management/governance, and supply chain/operations. Our faculty, known for their collegiality, have accumulated more teaching excellence awards than any other unit in the school, have won professional society and school awards for outstanding research, are thought leaders in their fields, and dedicate themselves to service within their professional organizations through editorial review boards, leadership positions, and school as well as university service.
Requirements
The ideal candidate must have a doctorate degree in Management, Strategic Management, International Business, or other related disciplines for the Senior Lecturer position, while candidates applying for the Lecturer position must have at least a master's degree. All candidates must have a solid teaching record in strategic management, and industrial or professional experience in strategic management is preferred. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate capstone courses in strategic management and other related subjects and participate in service to the Department of Management and the Miami Herbert Business School. Additionally, candidates must be committed to excellence in teaching and service and must have a background in or commitment to working with diverse student populations and/or in culturally diverse work and educational environments. Teaching responsibilities are dependent on degree qualifications. All Lecturers teach 8 courses per academic year.
