Albany Community School & Brownington Central School are seeking a Library/Medial Specialist to join their team! This is a great opportunity to join a FANTASTIC team. The position is split between Brownington Central School and Albany Community School. Both of these wonderful school communities support PBIS and cross-curricular learning opportunities.

We are seeking a 1 FTE Library/Media Specialist for the 2023-2024 school year. We are looking for someone who will provide engaging and collaborative literary and 21st Century experiences for our K-8 population while re-imagining and maintaining our libraries. Albany Community School is a rural school with about 90 students enrolled in kindergarten through eighth grade. We have a beautiful 50 acre campus that includes mountain biking trails with a pump track, a beaver pond for observations, and XC ski trails in the winter.

Teachers enjoy using the land to enhance student learning. Our vision is, We strive to provide an environment where students will develop to their fullest. We live this by creating meaningful learning opportunities on our school grounds and in the community.A successful candidate will have the ability to work closely with team members, excellent classroom management skills, make meaningful connections with students, and actively engage students in their learning. The successful candidate will play a role in our two-tiered improvement plan of focusing on Student Engagement in Learning and implementing a Social Emotional Learning plan.
