We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team. Vet techs are an integral part of any veterinary team. We are New Braunfels Animal Urgent Care in New Braunfels, TX! We opened in 2022 and Dr. Robin Lang is our incredible owner and DVM. We believe in providing a stable and exciting work environment for our employees so that they can do their job to the best of their ability. Vet techs are the ones who see our furry patients the most and interact with their owners. They are also the doctors' right hand, assisting with treatment and keeping the safety of owners, staff, and pets in mind. POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (We will accept at least 5 - 6 years of experience in lieu of vet tech certification).
• Good communication skills

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF A VET TECH:

• Assist veterinarian with examinationsBe able to properly care for and handle animals before, during, and after a procedure.
• Perform diagnostic imagingX-rays, CTs, Ultrasound
• Clean, sterilize, and prepare exam rooms, kennels, and equipmentMust follow proper procedures
• Maintain medical charts
• Administer treatment & medication to patients
• Professionally communicate basic diagnoses to pet parents.Ear infections, skin infections, intestinal parasites, etc.
