A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse in Austin, TX The Licensed Vocational Nurse would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential.
Compensation
- The pay for this position is $25.00 to $27.00/hr D.O.E
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 30 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Highlights
- This position is a Long-Term Contract
- MUST be available for 12 consecutive days of training M-F 8-5 .
- Largest need is day shift 7:00am-3:00pm or 3:00pm to 11:00pm working every other weekend.
Responsibilities for Licensed Vocational Nurse
- Provide care for patients – manage medication administration and treatments; provide medication education and complete documentation.
- Perform computer data entry – Receive full training
- Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies; specifically, Joint Commission guidelines, CMS Standards, ASH Policy and Directives and HHSC Standards, Rules and Directives.
Requirements for Licensed Vocational Nurse
Licensure, Certification, Or Registration Required:
- Must be licensed as a Licensed Vocational Nurse by the State of Texas or a state that recognizes reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required:
- Knowledge of nursing techniques and procedures
- Knowledge of medical diagnoses and procedures
- Knowledge of accepted medical treatment programs
- Knowledge community health and nursing care principles, practices, and procedures
- Skills in the care and treatment of patients
- Skills in the use of a computer and applicable software
- Ability to provide patient care
- Ability to prepare and maintain records
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Final Screening Criteria:
- Experience working with psychiatric patients preferred
