Job Overview:
As our Licensing Account Manager, you will be responsible for both managing our current licensing agreements - both from a relationship standpoint, but also from a financial and inventory perspective. Additionally, you will identify and secure new licensing opportunities and collaborate with cross-functional teams within the company to develop and execute licensing strategies that align with our business and brand objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
Relationship Management:Utilize existing contacts and industry knowledge in the licensing space to make valuable connections with license partners.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing license partners, including sports leagues, entertainment properties, and brands like Travis Mathew.
Leverage your network to identify new potential license partners and establish connections.
Serve as the main point of contact for license partners, addressing inquiries, negotiating agreements, and resolving any licensing-related issues.
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance and expand partnerships with existing license partners.
New License Acquisition:Research, identify, and evaluate potential new license opportunities that align with our target market and brand positioning.
Initiate contact with potential license partners, present our value proposition, and negotiate favorable licensing agreements.
Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure compliance with licensing requirements and terms.
Licensing Strategy and Planning:Develop and execute a comprehensive licensing strategy that supports our overall business goals and growth objectives.
Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify emerging licensing opportunities and potential risks.
Collaborate with marketing, product development, and merchandising teams to align licensing initiatives with product launches and promotional campaigns.
Financial Management:Monitor and analyze licensing revenue, royalties, and expenses to ensure profitability and adherence to budgetary targets.
Forecast and report on licensing performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Develop and manage financial models to assess the potential ROI of new licensing opportunities.
Department Building:Build and lead a high-performing licensing department, including hiring, training, and mentoring a team of licensing professionals.
Define departmental goals, establish processes and workflows, and implement best practices for effective licensing management.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in licensing, preferably within the e-commerce industry, with a focus on physical products.
- In-depth knowledge and familiarity with existing licenses, including sports leagues, entertainment properties, and brands like Travis Mathew.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop and execute strategic licensing agreements.
- Excellent analytical and financial management skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a passion for building and developing high-performing teams.
- Existing contacts and a network of connections in the licensing space is a plus.

Supplemental pay types:
- Eligible for bi-yearly bonuses based on goals set by our CEO and Chief Merchandising Officer
