About us
The goal of the Destin Fire Control District Beach Safety Division is to provide beach and ocean lifeguard services.
This position performs protection service work guarding the safety of patrons at assigned beach locations.
- Observes activities in assigned area on foot, in vehicle, or from a tower or chair to detect hazardous conditions, such as swimmers in distress, disturbances, or safety infractions.
- Recognizes, reacts, and responds promptly and efficiently to emergency situations.
- Initiates water rescues in various situations and conditions.
- Provides first aid care for minor injuries or care until certified first responders arrive.
- Regulate activities that may threaten beach patrons or property.
- Assist in maintenance of lifesaving equipment and facilities.
- Performs other related tasks as required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

- Destin, FL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
