Whiskey Row Denver is looking for our next Line Cook!
Essential Functions:
- Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
- Preparing food including cleaning and cutting ingredients and cooking appetizers, main dishes, and desserts
- Plating prepared foods based on Executive Chef's guidance.
- Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time.
- Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts.
- Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions.
- Follow standard recipes and special diet orders.
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances.
- Assists other associates as needed to meet guest's needs.
- Adheres to all RHG brand policies and procedures.
- Works as a team player and actively contributes to the success of the bar/restaurant experience.
- Other supportive functions as determined by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills – fluent in English language.
- Previous experience in cooking, culinary arts, or other related fields.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Works with a sense of urgency.
- Performs well under pressure and stress.
- Able to maintain positive working relationships with all team members.
- Attention to cleanliness and safety procedures.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of culinary basics and kitchen environment.
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours or more a day.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and lift items frequently weighing 50 lbs or more.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude at all times.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Certificates or Licenses: Current Food Handler Card.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: 2 years experience in a high-volume bar/restaurant preferred.
