Job responsibilities:
We are looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to the Chef’s specifications. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the Chef and other cooks with their daily tasks including setup and prep of all stations. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction.
- Set up stocking stations with necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (chopping vegetables, butchering meats, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items to order in cooperation with FOH & BOH for seamless service
- Answer, report, and follow the Chef’s instructions & procedures
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and timely manner
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and Guests
- Any additional duties the GM or Chef assigns
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED preferred
- Flexible schedule, particularly for weekend/evening shifts - must work nights & weekends
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedure
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
- Ability to work 6+ hours on your feet'
