Job Summary
Line OSCU (on shift cleanup) are responsible for working the sanitary conditions of the lines throughout the production process. They are responsible for organizing and cleaning duties for the lines they are assigned and to make sure our product quality standards are being met.
Job Functions
Essential Functions:
- Identifies and corrects unsanitary practices and conditions.
- Strictly adheres to all company and plant policies concerning safety, performing proper Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures, using proper lifting techniques, wearing effectively all personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, proper walking/stepping and all other safety procedure related to your duties.
- Adheres to all company and plant polices related to GMP’s.
- Adheres to all company and plant policies, work rules and procedures.
- Regular and consistent attendance is essential for meeting performance expectations of the position.
- Assist other employees with the sanitation/cleaning process to help all to be safe and successful including administering hands on training when necessary.
- Completes non conformances for cleaning and coach when needed on proper techniques to ensure food safety.
- Safely handle all chemicals using proper tools and equipment.
- Safely handle/moving all types of bins utilizing the powered lifts as well as manual lifts.
- Maintains the cleaning for safety purposes and food safety purposes for up to 2 lines, from process to pkg, corner to corner.

The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold and heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, operating and maintenance instructions.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to computer rate, ratio and percent.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must be able to acquire and maintain an industrial Forklift/Pallet Jack operator’s license.
- Must be able to maintain department chemical training certification annually.
- Ability to comprehend and communicate in basic English and interact with all levels of the organization.
Preferred
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous industrial fork truck operator’s license and hand truck experience.
- Previous training in handling of chemicals used in the sanitation process.

- The employee is continuously required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to work 12 hour shifts.
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING REQUIRED.
Helmet, Hairnet, Ear Plugs or Muffs, Steel Toed Slip Resistant Boots, Cut 2 and 5 Gloves, Hvy Duty Apron, All PPE Needed for Full Sanitation, Fryer Cleaning PPE (all provided to you)
