Job Description:
Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU is seeking a Linen Room Attendant to join the housekeeping team of our brand-new upscale hotel. Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU will provide Tempe with 330 guest rooms, 36,000 square feet of event space and four new food and beverage outlets. Featuring a rooftop upscale restaurant and the largest ballroom in the area, we expect to provide elevated options for our guests for dining and entertainment.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate washers and dryers.
  • Clear linen chute and separate all soiled linens in a timely manner.
  • Ensure linen carts are ready to be sent out in a timely manner and retrieve clean linen carts from the loading dock.
  • Count and stock linen shelves.
  • Participate in monthly inventories.
  • Deliver housekeeping supplies to Room Attendants as needed.
  • Understand both Housekeeping and Houseperson positions well enough to perform duties in associates’ absence.
  • Maintain highest levels of cleanliness throughout the hotel property.
  • Complete daily and weekly cleaning projects as assigned.
  • Anticipate, listen, and follow through with all the guests’ requests in a timely manner.
  • Communicate any needs or concerns within the hotel with the appropriate departments.
  • Follow all Loss Prevention procedures regarding guest property, safety, and security.
  • Attend all designated staff meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications:
  • Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Move, push, and pull objects weighing up to 200 lbs. without assistance.
  • Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
  • Requires repetitive motion of arms, hands, and legs.
  • Must be able to communicate via radio and phone as needed.
  • Must be able to work PM shift.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.

  • This position is a full-time, on-site position with no work from home flexibility.
