Litigation Paralegal
Nash & Kromash, LLP in Melbourne, FL seeks a full-time litigation paralegal. Previous experience of at least 3 years is required. Must be a self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude, who is dedicated to helping others. Must also be detail-oriented, extremely accurate, work well under pressure, organized, and have excellent communication and computer skills.
This position will assist attorneys by maintaining case files; communicating with clients, attorneys, and judicial assistants; coordinating case-related conferences; preparing and organizing discovery information; and preparing exhibits and other documents for hearings and trials. Applicants must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must have the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in an environment with competing priorities. Applicants must possess the ability to identify issues and resolve problems in a timely manner. There is a high level of client interaction in this role and strong verbal and written communication skills and relationship building skills are required. Job Duties:
- Assist the attorney(s) in the preparation and e-filing of litigation pleadings and court filings
- Communicate with clients to obtain relevant information and communicate case status
- Help to organize discovery information
- Assist the attorney(s) by managing calendars, litigation deadlines and coordinating schedules, hearings and trials
- Assist the attorney(s) by helping to organize information for hearings and trial
- Other tasks as needed
Skills, Certification and Experience Required:
- Paralegal certification preferred
- 3 years of Florida litigation paralegal experience
- Experience with the court’s e-File system
- Excellent writing skills, a strong work ethic, and a positive disposition
- Relevant computer skills for the position
- Professionalism, good judgment, and the ability to manage in high pressure situations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $49,920.00 - $66,560.00 per year
