The Catalyst Companies is a full-service production company that specializes in live event productions, post-production, and event planning. We are seeking a new Project Manager to join our growing and dynamic team!! This is a great opportunity for anyone seeking a career in live event production & production technologies.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Book technicians for events, pulling from our established roster of professionals
• Managing pre-show communications with technicians and assist in their logistics for events
• Manage trucking and transportation for events
• Secure needed vendors for events
• Complete drawings for events
• Manage show budgets
• Oversee the technical integrity of live events
• Help recruit new technicians
• Project management
• Other miscellaneous tasks as required, to achieve company outcomes

The Project Manager will work on a wide variety of projects including: pre/post live event operations, production equipment inventory, prep & maintenance, and the detailed logistics of putting on a live event. They will work daily with our production team and will need to possess excellent cross team communication & project management skills. They will also be working consistently with MS Suite & Google Suite. Vectorworks & CAD knowledge is a must. The Project Manager will also work with vendors, technicians, drivers and staff to assist The Catalyst Companies in putting on world class events.

This is a full-time position that requires travel to events and full-time business hours in our LA office. This position is available starting immediately.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• General business knowledge
• Excels in a remote working environment
• Self-starter and ability to work independently without onsite instruction (you will often be working on your own at our warehouse, so this is a must!)
• Use of MS office suite – Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
• Use of Google Suite – Google Drive, Google Sheets and Google Docs
• Use of Apple Suite – iCal, Keynote and Apple email
• Familiar with updating Apple IOS and maintaining computer back-ups
• Strong communication (oral, writing and presentation) skills
• Detail oriented & organized
• Professional presence and demeanor
• Must be reliable & uphold proficient time management skills
• Hard worker & can perform duties at a quick pace
• Must have a car
• Flexible schedule that can work nights and weekends with notice is a must
• Willingness to learn new things & a drive to increase your knowledge of live production industry
• Auto Cad proficient & Vector Works proficient
• Flex Rental Solutions proficient
• Able to work 40 hour ++ work week
• Able to lift more than 50 lbs
• Experience managing technicians onsite at events
• Able to interact with clients in a professional manor
• Able to assemble and manage client’s quotes
• Pristine budget management skills
• Previous AV experience
• Willing to get class A license (if you don’t already have one)
• Willingness to go the above and beyond to get the job done
