Maximus Building Supply, established in 1984, is a family owned, faith-based organization that supplies lumber, doors, windows and materials for new home construction, DIY projects and remodels. From our 4 locations we serve the Metro Memphis area, North/Central MS, limited areas of Alabama, Arkansas, and Kentucky.

Maximus Building Supply, is seeking a Full-time, Load Builder/Forklift Operator for its Collierville TN Lumberyard.

Job Description:

Build loads of lumber, trim, supplies, and place on truck for delivery to home construction sites, assist Will Call customers, unload delivery trucks.
Ideal Position for Forklift Operators with lumberyard or heavy equipment experience.

• Days: M-F
• Hours: 7A-5P
• Job Type: Full-time
• Paid Bi-Weekly

Essential Duties:

• Build/Stage loads of lumber and supplies according to ticket,
• Place load on truck according to size and weight,
• Unload trucks from suppliers,
• Assist Will Call customers,
• Keep yard organized and neat,
• Observe safety rules,
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Skills & Requirements:

• US work authorization
• High School Grad or GED preferred, and minimum age 18,
• 6 months relevant experience, preferred, forklift,
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills,
• Pays attention to detail to ensure safety and customer satisfaction,
• Willing to take direction and work in a team environment,
• Reliable transportation,
• Excellent attendance, punctuality,
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and pass random drug screens after hire.

Physical Demands:

• Outdoor work environment with potential for extreme heat, cold, mud, rain, ice, snow, windy, etc. conditions,
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to move products, and to operate tools, equipment,
• Manual lifting (75 lbs.), bending, stooping,
• Sitting 8-10+ hours daily,
• Exposure to loud noises.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 per hour
