LMI seeks a Mid-Level Logistics Analyst to support a federal program management office in the National Capital Region. Join our team of collaborative self-starters focused on delivering practical and efficient solutions to help our client keep U.S. borders safe and facilitate trade and travel. As part of our high-performing team, you will augment our vital work to provide “eyes and ears” technology to protect our nation. This position requires the ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance use, and employment verifications; active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation preferred. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a suitability determination.

You will support life cycle management and sustainment for our client’s portfolio of programs, projects, demonstrations, and other efforts. You will apply your skills in integrated logistics support (ILS) principles to create systems that last longer, require less support, and reduce overall life-cycle costs. In addition, you will provide ILS input in the development of requirements for new systems, in the review of current program documentation, during environmental and real estate planning, in the systems engineering process, and in the development of training documentation. Working from the Client site in Tucson Arizona, representative responsibilities:
- Review prime contractor ILS deliverables for adequacy
- Collect, monitor, and track deployed system performance
- Develop plans and metrics for maintenance and repair requirements, including physical inspection and physical checkout.
- Identify and help to resolve operating and support deficiencies
- Assess operational and sustainment footprints
- Develop strategies to optimize system performance
- Assist with acquisition and implementation of operator and maintenance training program
- Participate in system configuration control boards (CCBs) and support planning and implementation of system engineering changes
- Prepare product support business case analysis (PSBCA) for life cycle management strategies
- Participate in technical interchange meetings by developing briefing materials, meeting agendas, and minutes and tracking action items to resolution
- Support integrated logistics support management team (ILSMT) and working group (ILSWG) sessions
- Works with designated the Contracting Officer Representative (COR), to stay abreast of contract changes, issues, and challenges.
- Prepare documents in support of COR to facilitate government acceptance of equipment, repairs, services, and other contract deliverables
- Input, query, and analyze data from numerous CBP database sources, and prepare reports as requested
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in most of the major logistics element areas.
- Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications; active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation preferred. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a suitability determination.
- Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders.

- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

DESIRED SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- DHS or DAWIA logistics certification desired.
- Previous work with CBP’s Integrated Systems Tower (IST), Remove Video Surveillance Systems (RVSS),and/or Mobile Systems portfolios is a plus.
- Preferred skill in in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and SharePoint, with emphasis on analytical and presentation functions of each application.
