Job Description:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of tasks to support the system-wide mission of Logistics and Distribution including, but not limited to, issuing supplies, maintaining inventories and compiling stock records, receiving, preparing items for shipment and/or return to vendor, etc..
Duties and Responsibilities
- Moves/handles items such as, supplies, linen, mail, print products, equipment, etc..
- Performs a variety of activities such as, receiving, storing, cleaning, issuing, counting, shipping and ordering of supplies and equipment.
- Works to meet customer expectations - right stuff, right place, right time, right condition, right quantity, right price.
- Works in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Supports the capture and reporting of Key Performance Indicators/Measures that drive Continuous Improvement.
- Works with managers, supervisors, technicians, warehouses, mail services, print providers, couriers.
- Stocks vendor deliveries in designated areas.
- Receives requests for items, selects from inventory, loads distribution vehicles and distributes to designated areas.
- Delivers items to requisitioning departments and obtains authorized signatures for accepted items.
- Inventories user storage areas and replenishes inventory or par levels. 11Prepares routine inventory reports and maintains records of in-house and on-order supplies.
- Supports periodic and special inventories. Participates in year-end inventories in cooperation with the Controller.
- Investigates discrepancies and reconciles. Monitors expiration dates. Processes inventory returns.
- Marks inventory articles with identification codes as needed.
- Maintains appropriate records, reports, and files as required.
- Attends meetings as required.
- Performs other related duties as identified.
- Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment and safety standards.
- Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings.
- Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
