Job description

We are looking for a reliable LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to care for invalids and injured people in a professional and considerate manner. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse or doctor.

Responsibilities*

The LPN provides the following patient care:

• Onsite clinical support and patient care
• Telephone management: follow up on items delegated by the provider or RN (e.g. complete final disposition of triage call, test results)
• Lab and medication monitoring
• Collect initial data for provider and or RN triage and disposition
• E-scribe medication refills per protocol including updating Problem List in MiChart
• Pend refills for controlled substances
• Medication administration per order for oral, topical, injections
• Assist with procedures which require medication administration or drawing up medications
• Receive and manage verbal orders from providers with delegation agreement
• Reinforce education on disease process and management
• Reinforce education on medication taking practices
• Reinforcement of education plans
• Follow up on abnormal and complex test results at the direction of an RN or provider

Required Qualifications*

• Practical Nursing graduate with successful completion of a pharmacology course in an accredited program.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in OH.
• Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and to work with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills, including listening, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Demonstrated willingness to participate in Quality Improvement and/or LEAN initiatives.
• Proficiency with documenting care in an electronic medical record.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Standard shift:

• Day shift
• Night shift
