We have an exciting opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team of caring professionals. This is a challenging and rewarding position that is responsible for administering basic medical care to our geriatric patients. The ideal candidate will be flexible, have a strong work ethic and genuinely enjoy helping others.

Responsibilities:

• Acknowledge and understand the grief of the caregivers.
• Discuss the role of the hospice nurse with caregivers.
• Ensure that patients are able to care for themselves and stay independent.
• Facilitate patients' desire to be as independent as possible.
• Know how to create an effective plan of care for different age groups, including children.
• Understand the necessary steps to ease a patient's passing from this life, based on his or her wishes.
• Communicate with patients, their families, and other medical professionals.
• Perform physical exams and procedures, such as administering medication.

Job Types: Contract, PRN, Per diem

Pay: $40.00 per hour
