As for the role of Sewing Machine Operator, here’s what we’re looking for specifically:
IMS Trading is looking for a Sewing Machine Operator to support our Audubon facility. You will be responsible working with a team of individuals manufacturing various products, including bath and body products. We are a company with a strong corporate culture. Responsibilities:
- Assemble and prepare goods for shipment, including use of industrial sewing machines
- Complete quality assurance testing on goods and products
- Maintain proper storage for material and product inventory in warehouses
- Organize inventory in an easy-to-access process
- Utilize machinery such as sewing machines, thread cutters, and pinning gun
- Maintain the quality and upkeep of warehouse equipment including machinery
- Package goods and prepare for shipment
- Move materials or completed products and packages to established locations
- Assist in Warehouse functions as needed
Skills and Knowledge:
- Physical ability to complete job duties, which may include standing for long periods, working in a space that lacks climate control or lifting objects
- Ability to follow directions accurately
- Attention to detail and organization skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Project management skills
- Time management skill
- Good technical and mechanical skills
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma/GED preferred or in progress
- Experience of working on a Production Line or other similar position
- Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require lifting, standing, carrying, or sitting for prolonged periods during shift.
- Must be able to move up to 50 pounds at a time.
