General Responsibilities:

We are looking for a candidate for our Straight Shaft Dept.

Swing Shift: 2:45pm-11:15pm

Responsible for producing the highest quality paddles. Meet or exceed daily quantities to reach productivity and quality expectations for straight shaft area. Responsible for the results of that area while working within a team. Ensure all safety protocol is being followed in this area. Be an active and contributing part of Werner Paddles positive environment.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Check data book for appropriate mandrel size and material order
• Place material and mandrel on rolling table
• Use appropriate supplies to prevent sticking
• Roll mandrels on rolling table making sure material is set tight and placed correctly
• Press both buttons at the same time keeping hands clear
• Place finished shafts on cart
• Cook completed mandrels in water cooker
• Inspect cooked shafts for quality
• Clean mandrels using mandrel cleaner

· Follow specific work instructions, documentation and training for this process

* Utilize tools and equipment to do the job

* Keep area clean and organized at all times

* Maintain attendance according to Company attendance policy

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk, use hands and fingers to handle and feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally stoop, crouch, twist, bend, talk and hear.

The employee must regularly lift and move 10-20 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
