We are looking for a WEEKEND LATHE OPERATOR for a busy precision manufacturing company with numerous opportunities for growth. You will contribute to the production and manufacturing of connectors and precision components for industries like Aerospace, Defense, and more. The machine operator will train in the day shift before moving to the WEEKEND SHIFT.

  • NIGHT SHIFT : Monday to Thursday from 3:30 pm to 2:00 AM
  • $19.00 to $20.00 (+ differential $4)

Job Description:

  • Operates a variety of Conventional Lathe machines to turn flat or curved surfaces on metal work pieces.
  • Load & unload parts as instructed. Able to inspect their own work using a variety of measuring instruments to meet print requirements.
  • Must be able to adjust offsets and or replace tooling as required.
  • May turn nonmetallic materials. Able to do basic setups and proofread programs to match print.
  • Read and follow work orders, schematics, blueprints. Perform basic troubleshooting on machines
  • Provide support to other areas of the production processes by operating other machinery like CMS, and conventional machinery.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 4 years of LATHE machine experience
  • 5 years of Manufacturing experience is PREFERRED
  • Lift, pull and push up to 75 lbs.
  • Able to do basic setups and proofread programs to match print
  • Experience with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Must be able to read and follow written instructions (blueprints, work orders, travelers, schematics)
