Each day, our Mad Science camp instructors will present a fun half-day summer camp to approximately 12 elementary age students. You do NOT need to be a certified teacher, nor do you need to be a science major. You MUST enjoy/have experience working with groups of children and have your own car. You must be interested in a part-time position and available Monday – Friday days.
College students, and school teachers are encouraged to apply. Perfect for teachers looking for Supplementary Summer income, people who work evenings, or free-lancers looking for extra money! Apply just for the summer or opt to stay with us for the school year.
Who we are:
For the last 20 years Mad Science has provided entertaining and spectacular educational science to children in preschool through 6th grade. WE ARE currently hiring instructors for CAMPS and Special Events in the Orange County area! We train you in the curriculum, and provide all materials.
Camps are half day/3 hour camps and take place between 9am-12:00pm or 10:00am-1:00pm, with some afternoon camps 1:30-4:30. The average instructor will make $330-400 per week. (Depending upon availability and experience).
As an instructor you will be LIVESCAN fingerprinted and TB tested. Each day you work, you will drive to a local community center/school site/daycare center you have been assigned to. Our instructors are required to come to a weekly staff meeting every Friday from 1:00-2:00 PM in Santa Ana.
