Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic Maintenance Engineer to join our Maintenance team at our Fort Pierce, FL, location. The Maintenance Engineer will be preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring the assigned maintenance department projects. The selected candidate will work on various projects involving close collaboration with many departments such as operations, maintenance, quality control, health and safety, logistics, etc. The projects will be at our Fort Pierce plant and possibly at other locations in the USA.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Define needs and requirements of the Maintenance department
  • Prepare specifications and scope of work.
  • Manage project specific materials and equipment purchases. Meet with suppliers, analyze proposals and make recommendations on the solution choices.
  • Plan and manage the installation and commissioning phases in our plants, specifically maintenance while ensuring that the corporate health and safety standards are observed.
  • Ensure the quality, safety and conformity of work and equipment, before and after delivery and installation.
  • Follow the financial budget of the projects.
  • Provide required close out information to the client at the end of the project (warranty, drawings, updates plant layout).
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of the methods of the Project Engineering Department.

Qualifications & experience

  • 2+ years of experience in Maintenance, Engineering and Project Management, in a manufacturing environment or in a related field.
  • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.
  • Be available to travel within the USA, up to 10% of the time.
  • Knowledge of extrusion and plastic molding equipment would be an asset.
  • Experience with Autocad and Excel
  • Highly motivated, versatile and dedicated
  • Ability to work independently, with strong skills in personal motivation
  • Excellent skills in customer relationship management
  • Capacity to learn in a changing and technological environment.
  • Skilled communicator, with strong teamwork values.
  • Good knowledge of softwares such as AutoCad and the Office suite.
  • General knowledge of mechanical concepts, pneumatics and hydraulics.
