Maintenance / Janitorial Position Opening:
Janitorial Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION
· This employee will be required to perform a variety of janitorial/ custodial tasks to maintain a clean the facilities and grounds.
· The employee performs a full range of janitorial assignments using limited judgment. Actions are normally determined by specific instructions from the supervisor.
JOB DUTIES:
· Providing assistance to the Maintenance staff during Maintenance projects.
· Cleans and services restrooms.
· Sweeps, vacuums, and mops floors and stairways etc. as needed on a daily basis.
· Gathers and disposes of rubbish and waste materials by hand or with the use of
· powered equipment. (forklift)
· Makes rounds of buildings and grounds at regular intervals and inspect waist cans for debris to be removed from the production floor, offices and break areas.
· Observes appearances and conditions of premises and equipment and will report any needed repairs, or safety hazards.
· Employee should be able to maintain an inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies in all bathrooms and break areas.
· Employee will be required to police grounds and parking lots of litter, glass, wood or other debris.
· Employee has the ability to Load and unload janitorial supplies, and moves heavy furniture and equipment using dollies, handcarts and or power equipment. (Forklifts if trained)
Additional Responsibilities
· Performing and assisting maintenance personnel with Maintenance projects
- All employees of Parkline are required to complete Safety Training on a monthly basis.
- Identifying and repairing potential safety hazards on manufacturing equipment to avoid injuries is paramount.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Employee should have knowledge of the standard cleaning methods, practices, tools, and equipment used to clean buildings, equipment.
· Employee should have knowledge of how to handle various cleaning and sanitizing compounds.
· Employee should have knowledge of the importance of wearing PPE such as gloves and aprons if needed.
· Employee should have ability to follow instructions.
· Employee should have the ability to operate and use janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies such as vacuum cleaners, sweepers and brushes used with cleaning compounds and solutions.
Physical Requirements
· The job duties require an employee to bend, reach, and stand for extended periods.
· Employee will need to have the ability to lift and carry a minimum weight of sixty-five pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
