Full-time, Maintenance Manager position for Pine Mountain Resort. Eligible for corporate benefits.

What you will have an opportunity to do:

Position Summary:

The Engineering Manager will assist with providing oversight of the maintenance/engineering department. The primary focus is on engineering operations, including maintenance, repair of hotel property, outside grounds, hotel equipment, preventative maintenance, asset protection, and guest maintenance requests. This team member will be working closely with others, so qualified candidates will need to be quick on your feet and have an engaging attitude.

Essential Functions:

  • Efficiently responds to guests’ maintenance requests and questions.
  • Assists with the hiring of new team members and promotions.
  • Assists with training, motivating, and supporting subordinate staff to ensure quality service.
  • Recommends counseling, coaching, disciplinary action, and documentation of staff. Recognizes and rewards superior performance.
  • Assists in setting work schedules for staff according to skill and workload level.
  • Assists with the organization and participation in meetings.
  • Maintains records and data pertaining to Property Operations.
  • Participates in the development and monitoring of budget analysis and capital plans.
  • Assists in the development and monitoring of engineering supplies, parts, inventories, and administers the purchase order system.
  • Coordinates with outside contractors.
  • Communicates information to the Director of Engineering and acts as a representative in their absence.
  • Responsible for correct use of office equipment, EMS systems, and Life Safety Systems (training provided).

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Someone with a minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience.
  • Previous managerial experience preferred.
  • Good understanding of the technical features of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
  • Strong knowledge facilities machines and equipment.
  • Someone available to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
