SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our growing team in Ephrata, PA. Primary responsibilities include repairing plant equipment, preventative maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and performing other related duties. Electrical and overhead crane experience is preferred. The Maintenance Mechanic will work at various facilities located throughout Central PA and the company will provide transportation. Normal work hours will be from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Plenty of opportunity for overtime both weekend and evenings to assist with equipment break downs and planned outages.

Successful candidates should possess good mechanical skills, and be proficient at troubleshooting, updating, and repairing plant equipment. We offer a competitive pay and benefits package including Health Insurance, 401K Plan and paid PTO/Holidays.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Use basic hand tools
• Perform repairs and inspections of equipment
• Perform some basic welding and cutting torch use as necessary
• Understand and learn equipment operation through training, observation, and reading operations manuals
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Develop and maintain positive customer relations
• Efficiently communicate with other plant personnel
• Input daily log/work order information into our software
• Perform other related duties as required

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

• High school diploma or GED is required; secondary education is appreciated and will be considered when determining pay scale
• 2-3 years of experience in plant maintenance (heavy industry environment) is preferred
• Comprehension of machine manuals is required
• Electrical and Overhead Crane experience is preferred
• Current driver's license is required
• Ability to work independently and have a strong work ethic
• Basic computer skills are preferred
• Must be familiar with and willing to learn OSHA safety regulations
• Strong organization, oral, and written communication skills
• Must be willing to work some weekends and evenings as required based on client shutdowns
