Maintenance Technician - $25-$30/hr. with $3.50/hr. shift premium

Our client in Belleville, MI is looking for hardworking, motivated talent to join their team.

• Requires in-person interview
• Train on 1st shift for 2-4 weeks (7am-3.30pm). Once comfortable with the process, they will be the only maintenance tech on 3rd shift for the team of 5-6 press operators.

• Must have 2-3 years experience supporting a metal stamping production environment. Electrical knowledge is desirable.

What will you be doing?

• Able to properly use test equipment, heavy industrial shop tools and equipment, diagnose and trouble-shoot equipment malfunctions and systems failure
• Preform, recommend and develop preventative maintenance procedures for all plant welding equipment including robotic systems.
• Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust
• Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems
• Analyzes failures of electrical equipment, using ammeter, voltmeter, ohmmeter, drawings and visual inspection

What do you bring?

• High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience
• Strong Electrical Maintenance troubleshooting skills
• 4+ years of stamping manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
• Six or more years of related technical, hands-on experience in manual and automated welding processes
