Stanadfast Group and BlackHawk Corrugated is a corrugated sheet plant.

We are currently seeking highly motivated, knowledgeable candidates with excellent mechanical and electrical skills for 2nd shift.

Job Description:

The maintenance mechanic maintains tests and repairs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components. The candidate will have a strong mechanical/electrical background and knowledge. The maintenance mechanic reports directly to the Plant Manager.

Position Responsibilities:

o Perform all necessary repairs and preventative maintenance for the facility with an emphasis on electronic and electrical skills.

o Troubleshoot machines to diagnose source of trouble.

o Dismantle or partly dismantle machines and perform repairs.

o Replace and/or replace broken or defective parts with items obtained from stock.

o Perform preventive maintenance on machines.

o Report any faulty or inefficient equipment and schedule for repairs.

o Perform all duties according to established safety policies.

o Complete any necessary paperwork associated with repairs.

Skills and Competencies:

o Electrical/electronic experience and/or ability to weld is a plus.

o Ability to read and interpret documents such as equipment manuals, safety rules, and operating instructions.

o Ability to operate shop equipment including drill presses, grinders, lathes and milling machines.

o Computer experience is a plus.

o Ability to communicate and work well with others.

o Have a strong safety record and a basic understanding and training in NFPA70E Arc Flash Hazards, Electrical Safety, Lockout, HAZCOM, Fall Protection, and other industrial safety concepts.

o Ability to manage several priorities at once.

Education and Experience:

o High school diploma or equivalent GED

o At least 2 years’ experience successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery

o Mechanical or electrical training and/or education

o corrugated experience is a plus

o This is a 2nd shift opening. Some weekend projects will be involved.
