Mancan Staffing is hiring a maintenance technician for a busy manufacturing facility in Steubenville! This job includes disassembling, reassembling& testing machinery and sub-assemblies; repairing plant and office machinery; maintaining a safe and orderly work environment; performing preventative maintenance procedures and techniques; sizing and determining proper fits of keys, shafts, bearings, using precision tools as required; performing facility repairs; installing new machinery, tanks, pumps, and process equipment as required; troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment failures, and identifying root cause for mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic and electrical systems; and performing bench operations such as drilling, tapping, grinding, welding, fabricating, etc;

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to use mig, tig, and arc welding equipment;
• Ability to work with minimum supervision;
• Hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical theory;
• Requires good organizational skills, a self-starter and a team player;
• Possess mechanical aptitude, with an eye for detail and a willingness to learn;
• Basic machine shop skills (i.e. grinders, threading machines)
• Background clearance required (police background check);
• Able to pass initial employment drug screen and random testing thereafter.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
• Able to relate/communicate well with people;
• Punctual, dependable and reliable.
• Experience working with equipment such as : boom lifts, scissor lifts and fork lift
• Read and understand blueprints technical manuals and work instructions.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems or has mechanical aptitude ,electrical, pneumatics, hydraulic presses, and mechanical presses

This is a full time temp to hire position on day shift (6am-4pm Monday through Friday). Pay will be based on experience.
