Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Reports to: SoPakco Distribution, Inc. Greeneville/Kingsport TN
Job Summary:
SoPakco Maintenance Technician are expected to work as a value member of the maintenance department and support all other department. As a maintenance technician employee, you will be responsible for the daily maintenance of equipment and facilities and maintenance of the grounds.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner
- Ability to perform daily maintenance on equipment and facilities
- Must be able to learn to operate all material handling equipment
- Knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.) As Needed
- Assist other areas/departments when needed
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous maintenance experience required.
- Heavy Duty Trucking knowledge is a plus
- HVAC knowledge is a plus
- Electrical knowledge is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, squat, knell, twist, crawl, and bend for prolonged periods throughout the shift
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly
- Must be able to work in severe weather conditions, both heat and cold
- Must be able to climb ladders and work in high places.
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings.
Based on experience hourly rate: $15.06-19.06
