Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Fremont, OH
Shift: 2 nd or 3 rd
Wage: $24 to $32 an hour based on experience
JOB DESCRIPTION
- General maintenance and PM of plant equipment.
- Trouble shooting and problem solving of issues as they occur
- Equipment improvements and suggestions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs preventative and basic maintenance, adjustments, set-ups and repairs on all production and facility equipment, with normal supervision, utilizing accepted procedures and tools to insure minimal downtime and maximum operating efficiency
- Plant shutdowns and start-ups.
- Parts & material requisition.
- Perform specialized maintenance procedures.
- Evaluates and prioritizes maintenance schedule.
- General knowledge of function and operation of robotics.
- Supervise and train lower level maintenance personnel during rebuild, repair or installation of machinery and equipment.
- Understanding and following policies, procedures and instructions
- Identifying and reporting product, process and quality system non-conformities to lead personnel
- Supporting implementation of corrective/preventive and improvement actions
- Be familiar and compliant with the systems, procedures and documentation of the System and how it relates to this position and quality objectives.
- Other job duties as required
Shift information
This is a full-time position Monday through Friday with a minimum 8 hour shifts. Must be able to work all mandatory overtime as required; this could lead to working weekday and weekend overtime. Must have flexibility to work overtime and be on-call as needed.
Monday-Friday, (Saturday and/or Sunday as needed)
Education and Experience Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Minimum high school diploma plus seven (7) years of maintenance experience OR a Technical degree and a minimum of five (5) years of maintenance experience.
- Advanced maintenance knowledge required.
- Advanced knowledge of 480-volt 3 ph. Electricity.
- HVAC knowledge needed.
- General understanding of PLC controls, logic, and programming.
- Familiarization with company, facility, departments, equipment, procedures, and set-ups, while working on the job with personnel in the respective areas.
Competencies
Must have mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills, have good math skill, and the ability to read Blueprint.
