Job description

Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Keep building/ground neat, clean and safe at all times.

Perform custodial and other manual tasks (dusting, bathroom cleaning, disposing of refuse, move and store furniture, order supplies, perform summer cleaning)

Report any safety, sanitary, or fire hazards to the school office. Complete maintenance person repairs.

Required Knowledge, skills, abilities and attributes:

Proven experience as a custodian, janitor or similar role

Very good physical condition and strength.

Working knowledge of maintenance/operation of a Gas Fired Low Pressure Steam Boiler; working knowledge of the EST-2 Fire Alarm System.

Self-starter; thorough; dependable; have ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions in English

Able to make minor plumbing, carpentry and mechanical repairs.

Must pass the Archdiocese of NY background check and participate in Virtus (Safe Environment Program) training.

Certificates Required:

Category S9-supervision of Fire Alarm Systems and other related systems

Category S13-City Wide Standpipe System

Category S07-Fire and Emergency Drill Conductor

Category P-99 Low PSI oil Burner Operator (preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
