Manager, Capital Purchasing

To develop, implement and manage national account purchasing programs for capital purchasing. This includes but is not limited to negotiating cost, contracts, service level agreements, freight and warranty as well as establishing and maintaining Best Practices programs for execution in new and existing restaurants.

Develop, source, implement and manage Front of House Capital, Back of House Capital & Construction Material Purchasing programs for use in NRO development, resupply for existing restaurants, as well as implementation and rollout based on Company project needs.

  • Work collaboratively with Design, Construction, Project Accounting, and Facilities to ensure all NRO FF&E milestones are met in a timely fashtion based on Construction schedule.
  • Manage all Capital Purchasing Logistics to ensure all items arrive at jobsites on time, every time. Logistics will vary based on NRO &/or Company project needs.
  • Work inter-departmentally to source new Capital items based on Company project initiatives and needs.
  • Perform annual RFP’s on selected Capital vendors and provide recommendations to the Vice President of Supply Chain.
  • Provide summary of all programs, best practices and other deliverables by way of the RRGB Capital Purchasing Program Cost Template and Vendor Summary Worksheets (to be shared annually with Franchise Partners).
  • Daily maintenance of the Capital Purchasing Cost template and review bid proposals for all NRO’s.
  • Assist with order and invoice entry when necessary.
  • Research and Develop alternative/value engineering ideas to reduce cost of goods and services.
  • Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims.
  • Review and process consolidated monthly service invoices for national programs. ( Source Music, bulk & cylinder gases, cable TV, and security.
  • Maintain Vendor Contact List.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Bachelors Degree with minimum 5yrs Procurement & restaurant industry experience
  • Excellent MS Office Skills
  • Excellent Organizational and project management skills
  • NAPM affiliation / participation desired
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards and/or Oracle Software preferred

Compensation Range: $83,100.00 - $114,300.00
