Job description
- Lead for on-site clinical research studies, responsible for overall conduct of the clinical studies and operational activities of the site. Responsibilities include recruitment, screening/enrollment, informed consent process, assessments delegated by the investigator(s), operating for example AdOM Tear Film Imager, LipiView, OCT instruments, MAIA microperimeter, Specular Microscopy, etc. and general clinic maintenance.
- Principal point of contact for the AbbVie Eye Care Clinic
- Responsible for coordinating protocol development for basic research studies and treatment-related clinical studies.
- Responsible for patient/subject care and administration of procedures following study protocols.
- Responsible for data collection, transfer, and contribute to analysis and summary of study results in collaboration with scientists.
- Responsible for researching and being trained on new instrumentation that can be utilized in clinical research studies.
- Responsible for maintaining AbbVie Eye Care Clinic supplies and equipment.
- Responsible for development and maintenance of SOPs and WIs for the on-site clinic, including general clinic operation processes and general use of equipment.
- Responsible for interaction with study auditors, vendors and review/approve invoices.
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 6+ years of clinical trial experience
- Ophthalmic background from an ophthalmology or optometry office highly desirable
- Practical knowledge of International Conference of Harmonization (ICH) guidelines and Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) pertaining to clinical research requirements and Good Clinical Practices is preferred
- Fully proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position.
