Job Summary
The Manager of Finance Processes will be a key supporting role for Epicor processes that relate to accounting and finance functions. This role work will work close with Customer Service, Purchasing, Receiving, and Accounting to identify mutually agreeable solutions. Special projects and process improvement are the key focus of this role as the use of Epicor continues to expand across multiple business and countries.MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance)
- Collaborate with other department leaders to adjust existing process to those that are efficient and scalable.
- Develop, test, and implement process solutions for complex AR and AP issues.
- Support ad hoc problem solving on major accounting projects.
- Control the management of Accounting Master Data.
- Support various components of Project FIT, including general ledger and COA mapping
- Lead the accounting/finance aspect of various Epicor enhancement projects.
- Support the routine monitoring of IT SOX controls.
- Build new and refine existing SOP's, as well as maintaining a knowledge database for offshore transactional support teams.
QUALIFICATIONS Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or closely related field from an accredited college or university; Graduate degree preferred, but not required
- 8+ years experience in finance or accounting related fields; leadership experience a plus
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, and the ability to work in team environment
- Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical skills
- Ability to work with other executives, managers and owners in developing operating plans and maintaining regular financial reports; ability to modify or create reporting processes to ensure efficient operations and timely reporting
- Independent, self-starter, highly motivated
- Comfortable engaging with Avantor customers on contractual negotiations and other matters
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Access)
ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)
Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.
Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.
A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.
Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.
