JVIC is seeking a Group Quality Control Manager for our JVIC Fabrication group. This position requires direct communication with the Fabrication leadership team to ensure project, Code, and company requirements have been established and met. Travel is required between multiple site locations. Attend in-person or TEAMs meetings with JVIC management and Client representatives. Provide technical support for the project team for code and standard compliance. This position is also responsible for the direct oversight of Project Quality managers and Field Quality Inspectors. Help continuous improvement of quality within the organization through scheduled assessments, audits, improvement initiatives, and providing staff support for internal and external audits.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Promote and maintain effective communications and relations with the Quality team and Project Management Team, across the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Owner teams
- Help Develop Quality Control staffing estimate plan based on scope and project needs
- Establishing specific quality plans and participating in project kick-off and pre-job planning meetings
- Assist in identifying the proper Inspection and Test Plans (ITP’s), checklists, and other documentation for Subcontractors
- Facilitate resolutions of issues by providing guidance and coordination with the Maintenance Leadership team
- Provide oversight of quality reports for leading indicators, long outstanding issues, and quality incidents
- Review, participate, and/or lead investigation efforts for Cause Mapping in the event of a severe quality issue, including preparing and presenting findings and conclusion
- Assist in coordinating external inspection services to the project, such as Authorized Inspection (AI), vendor inspections, etc.
- Respond to technical questions and assist in interpreting construction codes, standards, and Owner specifications/requirements.
- Help manage quality sub-contractors (NDE, Heat Treating, etc.
- Provides technical assistance to the project management team and works with Customer and design engineers to resolve construction engineering/technical issues.
- Accesses and reports quality deficiencies to the management team.
- Supervises performance qualification testing of all welders for the project assigned to.
- Helps initiate quality reports for the Corporate and Project management team on quality performance status.
- Review Code documentation, File with appropriate State jurisdiction, and National Board as required
Qualifications:
- Must have 5 years or more years of related experience
- Must be proficient with Microsoft office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Blue Beam
- Must have knowledge of the construction codes (ASME, AWS, API, and NBIC)
- Must be able to use problem solving skills and critical thinking to resolve and identify issues
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and specifications

- Able to provide information regarding processes and specifications to craftsmen, supervisors, and other appropriate members.

Preferred Qualifications but not required:
- Current CWI, CIP, ACI, NACE, and/or API certification(s)
- ASNT Level II in VT, PT, and UTT
