Job description

  • Evaluates the learning needs and provides trainings to ensure all Lodge staff are appropriately trained in job functions, including crisis management, interventions and milieu functioning.
  • Maintains a climate conducive to staff morale and effective communication on unit.
  • Completes required performance evaluations, as well as daily informal consultation with behavioral health staff. Addresses staff work performance, performance issues, and documents according to policy and procedures.
  • Leads and supervises in the maintenance of a structured and safe, therapeutic milieu, remains vigilant, pro-active , role models for staff, and ensures all policies and procedures related to resident/milieu safety are adhered to and environmentally sound.
  • Takes an active role the lodge weekly Care Conferences and provides feedback on all resident milieu behavior.
  • Collaborates with therapists, psychiatrists, dieticians, substance abuse specialists, and nurses to plan and coordinate treatment based on residents’ needs.
  • Participates in the training/cross training of other staff.
  • Establishes therapeutic relationships with residents that are beneficial to their treatment and recovery.
  • Welcomes each new Admission to their respective Lodge to ensure a complete orientation is performed, and engaging them into the Timberline Knolls recovery community and outlining their individual programming.
  • Consistently reviews residents’ compliance with program expectations, rules and responsibilities.
  • Completes all required documentation according to policies and procedures.
  • Communicates milieu and resident issues to RN and the treatment team members during the shift and problem solves effectively;
  • Ensures compliance with confidentiality of resident information.
  • May require flexibility in scheduling and additional hours when necessary, including on call.

Experience

Required
  • 2 year(s): Behavioral Health/Social Services

Education

Required
  • Bachelors or better in Social Work or related field
