Location: Sheetz Corporate - Claysburg, PA


This role qualifies for a partial remote work arrangement. Candidates must reside in or relocate to one of the states in our seven-state footprint in OH, MD, VA, NC, WV, MI and PA. As a leader on the Human Resources team, this role will have regular in person expectations for meetings with teammates, executives, and Sheetz management in the field.


PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:

Design and execute a strategy that develops leaders across the organization and ensure a pipeline of talent with the necessary skills and capabilities to achieve the business and strategic goals of the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (other duties may be assigned)

  • Maximize the development of internal talent through regular performance coaching, performance reviews and identification of individual developmental opportunities. Inspire, engage and motivate teams to create innovative solutions that drive and support the business.
  • Design and execute a strategy to ensure development of the talent pipeline across all levels of leaders in alignment with organizational growth objectives and overall business goals.
  • Design and execute a strategy to audit the organizations capabilities and partners with the manager of Workforce Development to implement training solutions to develop the leadership skills and capabilities necessary to support the organizational strategy.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business unit strategic priorities and provide recommendations for development strategies to develop talent to support business unit objectives.
  • Support Executive nomination and selection processes by advising on intentional development plans for the nominee and developing transition plans for the manager to support success in the new role.
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Talent Management and stakeholders to advise on HiPo development strategies and experiences for critical talent segments.
  • Act as a coach and advisor to critical talent segments including HiPos, successors and Directors.
  • Support corporate and People and Culture strategic initiatives with training and development recommendations to meet initiative objectives.
  • Researches and monitors external trends that may impact talent.
  • Develop, execute and monitor the annual Corporate Leadership Development, Operations Leadership Development and Certified Performance Coach budgets to maximize profitability and cost efficiencies.
  • Analyzes the overall investment in training and development of leaders and measures the effectiveness of programs, processes, and systems.


REQUIREMENTS: (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development or related field required
  • Master’s degree in human resource or related field preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in designing and executing leadership development strategies for large organizations required
  • Minimum 5 years’ supervisory experience required
  • Minimum 3 years’ leadership coaching required

Licenses/Certifications

  • Professional in Human Resources or ATD certification preferred
  • Coaching certification preferred
