Manager of Pricing

SUMMARY

Manage the development of cost and pricing information for proposals. Review and analyze the Requests for Proposals (RFPs) which includes obtaining and/or estimating projected project costs and performing analysis of the data.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

  • Leads and oversees pricing efforts on direct award and competitive proposals; prepares moderate to complex proposals in response to RFPs including internal files for review and customer submittal files.
  • Assists in the development of competitive pricing strategies by identifying risks and interpreting solicitation requirements.
  • Reviews and analyzes RFPs to identify and assist the proposal team in developing proposals, pricing, and business solutions for customers.
  • Ensures compliance to RFP/RFQ and applicable accounting structures.
  • Ensures all rates, factors and estimates used in proposal are approved by leadership.
  • Reviews and approves cost/price proposals.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

Supervise/manage a department and provide input towards hiring/firing/performance decisions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field and 4 to 7 years of pricing experience in the federal government contracting environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience pricing all contract types such as: FFP, FP-LOE, T&M, FP-LH, CPFF, CPAF and other cost reimbursable contracts.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Advanced knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) government contracting process.
  • Advanced knowledge of FAR and DFAR and their applicability to cost/price requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products including extensive experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills including exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to identify alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Ability to set priorities and work in a group environment or independently.
  • Ability to prioritize work and successfully meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to successfully pass a federal background check and a drug screen.
  • Cherokee Federal has suspended it’s COVID mandate. However it’s important to note that Cherokee Federal employees are included as covered employees in U.S. Presidential Executive Order 14042, which mandates Covid vaccines for federal contractors. Executive Order 14042 is currently not subject to enforcement by the Federal government. Therefore, Cherokee Federal has suspended application of the mandate and continues to monitor the government’s guidance on administration of any vaccine requirement.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting. Work may require travel, including overnight stays.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $90,000 - $156,000

Cherokee Nation Businesses offers discretionary annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
