Role Responsibilities:
- Evaluates and introduces process and product modifications, standards, and improvements through knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes, while increasing product quality, output, and cost effectiveness.
- Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):
- Using lean manufacturing tools, recommend changes in current production methods, standards, tooling, procedures, equipment, plant layout,
- product design, and employee output as a basis for increasing production, reducing cost, improving safety, morale, and quality.
- Lead engineering projects through all phases.
- Review and verify accuracy of existing procedures, bills of material, and route sheets.
- Initiate engineering change orders per the engineering change order procedure.
- Manage daily line issues as it relates to equipment and production.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in a technical engineering area or 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Manufacturing engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing projects using lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
- Leadership skills with the ability to direct, motivate, and provide clear direction in a production work environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of computer applications, experience with AutoCad and or SolidWorks preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly to internal customers, including production employees.
